Hollins College's Annual ``Women Together'' Conference will be held Saturday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., in the college's Moody Center.
The conference, sponsored by a coalition of area women's organizations, offers a variety of workshops dealing with women's issues and a chance to meet other women who are active in the Roanoke Valley.
The keynote speaker, Cecelia Long, is general secretary of the General Commission on the Status and Role of Women for the United Methodist Church. She will address the issue of diversity.

`Awareness Day
The Fifth Annual ``Rising Expectations: Ability Awareness Day'' will be held Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Valley View Mall in Roanoke.
A resource fair for and about people with disabilities, the event will feature products and services to enhance independence; special entertainment by people with disabilities; and free seminars for individuals and business owners.
