FLOYD -"Lone Star," a one-act comedy, will be presented at the Floyd Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall. The play opens today and continues through Sunday with shows at 8 each evening.
Chris Saunders plays the role of Roy, a Vietnam War veteran, and Justin Michaud plays Ray, Roy's younger brother. Haden Polseno-Hensley also performs.
The play is being produced by Chris and Chloe Saunders and Justin Michaud. Because of adult language and themes, it is not recommended for children.
Admission is $5 with 10 percent of the proceeds going toward the American Red Cross disaster relief efforts in Oklahoma City. Advanced seating is available by calling 745-4640.
Ribbons for victims
RADFORD - Radford University's seniors who are graduating Saturday will wear blue ribbons in support of victims of the Oklahoma City bombing.
The event is funded by the senior class council. Ribbons will be provided to graduates during Friday's capping ceremony. Students are encouraged to provide their own ribbons if enough are not available.
