FOR THE RECORD

Patrons of "gourmet brew shops" can buy supplies and brew beer at the shops and then take it home for consumption. Because of a copy editor's error, incorrect information was in a story Tuesday about a hearing on proposed Alcoholic Beverage Control regulations.

Clarification

Bedford County's consolidation proposal would allow farmers with large tracts a tax break under the "land use" program. Though the proposal doesn't address the land-use program by name, it provides for existing county ordinances, such as the one establishing the land-use program, to become law in the merged city. Comments made by county Board of Supervisors candidate Roger Cheek in Monday's paper were incorrect.
