RED CROSS CHAPTER RECOGNIZES VOLUNTEERS

The Roanoke Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross and Appalachian Regional Blood Services recently honored their corps of volunteers and presented special citations at a volunteer recognition luncheon.

Citation recipients are Bill Graham, Karen Miller, Ann Godsey, Del Kirschner and Lee Baker.

Those receiving certificates of appreciation were Anthony Reed, Shirley Layman, Brenda Williams, Susan Adcock, Harriette Mullens, Julie Keith, Jim Buriak, Ken McCauley, Becky Buchanan, Al McCain, Connie Barker, Bob Searles, Dolores Searles, Ed Stier, Ann Cranwell, Jim Browning, Jake Jacobs, Howard Wilson, Lynn Pearson and Gloria Weckstein.

The groups also recognized four organizations for their support with the Good Neighbor Award: Multi-Lodge/Blue Ridge Community Services, First Baptist Church and the Roanoke City and Roanoke County health departments.
