RADFORD CLOTHING BANK VOLUNTEERS' RECEPTION|

The Radford Clothing Bank will recognize its many volunteers at a tea reception on Sunday, May 21.

Individuals from 13 area churches volunteer one month each year to staff the Clothing Bank. Community-based volunteers also work at the Clothing Bank throughout the year.

Six cooperating churches formed the Clothing Bank in 1981 to provide used clothing to disadvantaged people and families in emergency situations. More than 1300 families have received assistance since the Clothing Bank opened its doors in 1982.

The reception will be at 3 p.m. at Grove United Methodist Church on Tyler Avenue.
