HOLLAND IN AT UVA

The University of Virginia has called a news conference for 4 p.m. today at which it will name Terry Holland as its new athletic director.

Holland, 53, was the men's basketball coach at UVa for 16 years before leaving in 1990 to become the athletic director at Davidson College, his alma mater.

He will succeed Jim Copeland, who resigned Dec.9 to become the athletic director at Southern Methodist University.
