Mike Krulich and Charlie Green are the defending champions. Krulich and Green shot 64-62 last year on their home Fincastle Country Club course and obliterated the field by a record nine shots.
The Lexington duo of David Brogan and J.W. Entsminger also is a strong contender. Brogan and Entsminger have combined to win the tournament twice (1991 and '93) and finished third in '92.
Reigning State Amateur titlist Scott Inman of Springfield and partner Gill FitzHugh also figure to contend.
The teams of Mike Smith-Jack Tuttle, Jake Allison-Mark Teachey, Hunter Morrissette-Don Foster, Jack Allara-Jeff Conner, David Hagadorn-Chris Clemens, Greg Caldwell-Danny Hopkins and Jeff Lynch-Barry Wolfe head the list of local entries in the 62-team field.
