BANDIT IN SKI MASK HOLDS UP HAMPTON INN

An armed man wearing a ski mask held up the Hampton Inn at Exit 118 off Interstate 81 early Saturday, getting away on foot with an undetermined amount of cash, Christiansburg police said.

The man, holding an unidentified type of gun, walked into the motel office at 12:39 a.m. and ordered the clerk to hand over all the money in the office, police said.

The robber is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, wearing baggy green pants and a brown-and-green ski mask.
