Henley helped Salem win the team title with a victory at No.1 singles, won the individual singles crown and teamed with Will Wimmer to capture the individual doubles crown.
Salem defeated William Byrd 6-0 to earn the championship and advance to the Region III tournament Monday at Sweet Briar College.
Other singles winners for the Spartans were Wimmer, Matt Spetzler, Peter Moran, Robert Light and Oliver Hoffman.
Henley beat Jamey Gilliland of Lord Botetourt 1-6, 6-2, 6-0 for the individual singles title and teamed with Wimmer to defeat Gilliland and Jared Wessel for the doubles crown.
Soccer
Michael Berry and Eric Martin each scored two goals as William Byrd defeated Salem 7-0 to win the Blue Ridge District championship and captured most of the All-District honors.
William Byrd's Matt Bryant was named Player of the Year and the Terriers' Jeff Highfill was chosen Coach of the Year.
Berry and four other teammates were selected to the first team. Three other Terriers were named to the second team. (Complete team in Scoreboard. B7)
Softball
Blair Calvert doubled in two runs, helping North Cross defeat Timberlake Christian 7-4 in the first round of the Blue Ridge Conference tournament at North Cross. Calvert, a senior, was the winning pitcher, upping her record to 8-8.
The Raiders play host to Holy Cross on Saturday at 10 a.m.
Junior third baseman Amy Ford was 3-for-4 with a home run and five RBI as Roanoke Valley Christian pounded Stuart Hall 12-0 in the Blue Ridge tournament.
The Eagles (11-3) also got home runs from Jessica Davidson and Dana Hurt. Senior Amy Helton (11-3) was the winning pitcher and was 4-for-5 with four RBI.
RVC will take on Lynchburg Christian, which defeated Roanoke Catholic 14-3, Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at North Cross.
Lacrosse
Justin Hall scored four goals and David Thornhill added three as Salem defeated Cave Spring 10-4 to win the Roanoke Valley District title.
Both teams will play in the Jefferson Cup tournament Saturday. Cave Spring will face an undetermined opponent at 1 p.m., Salem will play Patrick Henry at 3.
Track and field
Jamie Price placed first in two events and second in another to pace Patrick Henry to the boys' title of the Roanoke Valley District meet at E.C. Glass High School in Lynchburg.
Price won the 100-meter dash in 10.54 seconds, the 200-meter dash (21.76) and was second in the high jump (5 feet, 8 inches) to help Patrick Henry accumulate 235 points. The Patriots blew away William Fleming (158), Franklin County (65), Cave Spring (50) and Pulaski County (9).
Other top finishers for PH included Raheem Barnwell, who was first in the triple jump (44-11 3/4), second in the Long jump (21-1) and second in the 300-meter hurdles (41.94). Ritchie Mason won the shot put (43-4) and was second in the discus (152-10) behind John St. Clair of Fleming (156-9), who was second in the shot put (49-5).
Leticia Claytor of Franklin County won three events and finished second in another to emerge as the top individual performer in the girls' portion of the Roanoke Valley District meet.
Claytor won the long jump (17 feet, 6 1/2 inches), triple jump (35-11) and 100-meter dash (12.38 seconds), and was second in the 200 dash (25.76).
William Fleming won the team title with 145 points on the strength of first-place finishes by Rovanda Barber in the shot put (35-0) and discus (102-9), and Michelle Watson in the 200 dash (25.71). The Colonels also won the 400-meter relay and the 1600 relay.
Leahann Agee of Cave Spring won two events, the 400-meter dash (63.22) and the 800 run (2:39.1).
Franklin County was second in the team scoring with 133 points, followed by Cave Spring (101), Pulaski County (62) and Patrick Henry (48).
