Former Virginia Tech midfielder Eric McClellan scored off an assist from Mark Ellis only 37 seconds into the match as Roanoke (3-2) went up 1-0, but that was all the offense the Dawgs could muster.
Alan Branson equalized for the Flyers in the 23rd minute, and Ronnie Kowski scored the game-winner in the 48th minute.
Roanoke returns home tonight to face the Richmond Kickers at 7:30, when fans will get one of their last chances this year to see former Radford University star and U.S. Olympian Dante Washington as a Dawg.
Washington, a top player for the Washington Warthogs of the Continental Indoor Soccer League, will join that team June 1. He has three goals and three assists this season for Roanoke.
Tickets for the game, at Cave Spring Junior High School, are $6 for adults and $4 for students.

Virginia Tech's Brian Sharp fired a 76 in the second round of the NCAA East Regional at Yale University Golf Course in New Haven, Conn., to tie with 12 players for 55th place.
To advance to the NCAA Championships in Columbus, Ohio, Sharp must be one of the two lowest individuals not on one of the 11 teams advancing from the regional.
Clemson and North Carolina are tied for the team lead at 570. Virginia is tied with Auburn for 10th place at 589. Clemson's Mike Byce, Troy State's Mike Donahue and South Carolina's David Seawell are tied at 140 to lead the individual competition.
Jimmy Flippen shot a 71 to lead Virginia to a 291 total. Flippen is tied for 28th, at 146. Lewis Chltengwa and Simon Cooke carded 71s to tie for 36th, at 147.
The tournament concludes today.
Ryan Jenkins of Methodist won the individual title to lead the Monarchs to victory in the NCAA Division III golf tournament at Hulman Links Golf Course in Terre Haute, Ind.
Jenkins, who won the tournament in 1993 and finished fourth last year, shot a 218 as Methodist finished with an 899 total.Otterbein finished 18 strokes back, at 917. Ferrum placed 13th at 955.
The Panthers' Aaron Johnson, a former Glenvar High School standout, carded a 234 to finish in a seven-way tie for 29th. Teammate Ed Alvarez shot a 238 to tie with four other golfers for 50th place, and R.J. Weaver was one stroke behind Alvarez to finish 54th.
Ginny Johnson, swimming for the FCAT Star City Aquatic team out of the LancerLot in Vinton, set a meet record in the 800-meter senior freestyle at the RSA East Coast Invitational at Pullen Aquatic Center in Raleigh, N.C.
Johnson finished in 8 minutes, 57.27 seconds, a senior national qualifying time and a Virginia long-course record for 13- and 14-year-olds. She also won the 50-meter freestyle, in 28:84.
The Washington and Lee men's and women's athletic programs were awarded the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Commissioner's Cup. The two programs also claimed the Combined Cup that goes to the ODAC school with the most championships in men's and women's sports.
The Generals won or shared a league-record seven ODAC championships - four by the women, three by the men.
