A CHANCE TO TASTE WINES AND CAJUN FOODS

Cajun cuisine will be coupled with complementary wines during the Roanoke Valley Wine Society's ``An Informal Wine Dinner in the Bayou,'' which will take place Thursday at 7 p.m. at Corned Beef & Co. in Roanoke.

The three-course meal will include a blackened chicken appetizer salad, Cajun jambalaya, Bourbon Street pecan pie and coffee, paired with samples of wines meant to go with spicy foods.

The cost of $20 per person for society members or $22.50 for nonmembers covers dinner, wine, tax and tip. Reservations are required and will be accepted through today if seats remain. Call 992-3285.
