SHELTER OPEN HOUSE

The Montgomery County Community Shelter is holding an open house on June 3 from 1 until 3 p.m. at the shelter, 710 Roanoke St. Members of the board of directors will be on hand to thank supporters and reflect on four years of accomplishments. State Rep. Jim Shuler and State Sen. Madison Marye will be on hand.

The shelter provides temporary housing and support services to homeless families. For more information, call executive director Rose Teixeria at 382-8621.
