Hill was licensed to preach in May 1994 and was appointed to her current pastorate in June 1994. She will enter Duke Divinity School this fall to pursue a master of divinity degree.
Hill is the daughter of Robert (Nick) and Evelyn Nicholson of Radford. She graduated from Radford High School in 1978 and recently received a B.A. in psychology and religion from Methodist College in Fayetteville, N.C. She is married to Rick Hill, also of Radford. They live in Havelock, N.C., with their two children, Rebecca and Chris.
A reception honoring Hill and her family will be held after the worship service in the Fellowship Hall of the church. A churchwide dinner will follow at the Best Western Inn. The event is open to the public. For more information call 639-2807.

PEOPLE
Three members of the Christiansburg Ward graduated May 21 from a voluntary four-year intensive course of scripture study offered by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
J.C. Cloe, 17; Leslie Cosgriff, 18; and Beth Trout, 18, attended the program, better known as seminary. The course was established in Utah to help teenagers retain standards and values in the face of increasing social pressure. Since then it has become a worldwide program.
The four-year course includes the study of the Old and New Testaments, the Book of Mormon and the Church history. The students' daily study started at 6:30 a.m. with John Cosgriff as their instructor.
Kevin Martin, 17, received a three-year certificate of completion.
