A story about Memorial Day activities in Bedford in Friday's paper did not mention the 10 a.m. starting time for the D-Day Memorial Foundation's program on Monday. The foundation will unveil plans for a memorial on a 20-acre site near the Bedford Elementary School on Virginia 122. The city of Bedford will hold its own program beginning at 2 p.m. at the courthouse with Rep. L.F. Payne Jr. as the featured speaker.
