AREA GARDEN TOURS WILL HAVE A COMMON THEME

``We Love to Garden and It Shows'' is the theme of the Blue Ridge District, Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs' garden tours in Boones Mill on June 5, Roanoke on June 6, Bedford on June 7, and Blacksburg on June 8.

Each tour includes two to four homes, with the exception of Bedford, which features one 10-acre garden.

Flat rubber-soled shoes are recommended. In case of inclement weather, the gardens scheduled to be visited for that day will be closed.

The VFGC is a non-profit organization with 1,100 members in 56 garden clubs in 10 counties in the Roanoke area.

The $2 fee covers all tours. For a detailed schedule and registration information, call 343-4519, 9 a.m.-noon, or 774-2425.
