RAIN THE ONLY WINNER AGAIN IN SERIES

For the second straight day, rain postponed the 20th annual NCAA Division III World Series at Salem Municipal Field on Sunday.

The schedule for the remainder of the double-elimination national championship is crowded. Four games are scheduled today, starting at 10 a.m.

A winners' bracket doubleheader begins with Methodist (N.C.) against Wisconsin-Oshkosh at 10, and LaVerne (Calif.) meeting Marietta (Ohio) at 1:30 p.m.

At 5 p.m., the early-game loser meets William Paterson (N.J.), with the LaVerne-Marietta loser facing Carthage (Wis.) at 8:30 p.m.

Three games are scheduled Tuesday, starting at noon, with the championship round Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. (and 7 p.m., if necessary, in the double-elimination format).

Today

10 a.m., Game 7, Methodist (33-17-1) vs. Wisconsin-Oshkosh (37-3)

1:30 p.m., Game 8, LaVerne (36-8) vs. Marietta (46-7)

5 p.m., Game 9, William Paterson (36-8) vs. Methodist-Oshkosh loser, (loser eliminated)

8:30 p.m., Game 10, Carthage (38-7-1) vs. LaVerne-Marietta loser, (loser eliminated)

Tuesday

Noon, Game 11, winner Game 7 vs. winner Game 8

3:30 p.m., Game 12, pairings TBA

7 p.m., Game 13, pairings TBA

Wednesday

3:30 p.m., Game 14, winner Game 12 vs. winner Game 13

7 p.m., Game 15 (if necessary)
