A mother hauling kids in the family stationwagon prepares to pull out of a tight parking space, as traffic streams down Campbell.
It's not as if she can't manage the maneuver. Still, a young man walking past on the sidewalk - indeed, he already has walked past the car - stops, turns around, and with signals and nods helps guide the woman safely from her spot.
Just a moment, it takes. A passing encounter, a friendly gesture. Nothing unusual - happens all the time. Well, in these parts, anyway. It's just a reminder of what a nice place we live in. One of many reminders that, if you notice them, daily enrich our lives.
