TRAX STARTS WORK ON NEW BUILDING

The Bedford County-based TRAX Corp. will break ground today for a $700,000 building in the county-owned industrial park in Forest.

TRAX started business in 1987 and employs 31 people. It builds training simulators for power plants around the world. TRAX plans to build a 12,000-square-foot building in the industrial park - more than twice the size of its current headquarters.

The corporation also markets software and has recently increased its customer base to include pulp and paper mills.
