BEDFORD BANK TO BUY OWN STOCK

Bedford Bancshares Inc., holding company of Bedford Federal Savings Bank, said Tuesday that it has received approval from bank regulators to purchase up to 50,255 shares of its own stock.

The bank said the shares will be purchased in open market and privately negotiated transactions from time to time during the next six months.

The stock will be used for a stock incentive plan that was approved by stockholders Jan. 25.
