The Highlanders play for the title today against West Point.
Glenvar also will be seeking championships in singles and double play today. Nick Varney advanced to the singles championship by beating Northampton's Will Massey 6-1, 6-0, setting up a rematch with Clarke County's Patrick Bartlett, who beat Varney in a singles semifinal last year.
The doubles championship will also be a replay of a 1994 semifinal, with Glenvar's Varney and Josh Williamson meeting Clarke County's Bartlett and Josh Kerr-Hobert. Varney and Williamson advanced to the final by beating Northampton's Massey and Robbie Taylor 6-0, 6-4 on Wednesday.
In semifinal team play, Glenvar and George Mason split the singles matches before the teams of Varney-Williamson and Glenn Hambrick-Tommy Lesperance posted doubles victories to clinch the match.

NORTHWEST REGION BASEBALL: Halifax County used a four-run first inning to defeat visiting Cave Spring 5-2 in a semifinal. Robert Kazmarek and Josh Solomon had the Knights' hits.
Halifax will face the winner of G.W.-Danville on Friday night. G.W.-Danville defeated Brookpoint 11-1 in the second semifinal.
GROUP AA GIRLS' TENNIS: In Poquoson, Salem's Jill Archer moved into today's singles championship and teamed with Betsy Hall to advance to the doubles final. The Spartans, however, lost 5-4 to Lakeland in a team semifinal.
Archer beat Richlands' Ashley Stevenson 6-3, 6-2 in Wednesday's semifinals and will play for the title against Western Albemarle's Meghan Mahan, who beat Lakeland's Mary Dorman Debranski 6-1, 6-0 in the other semifinal. Archer and Hall defeated Marion's Kelly Surber and Missy Gilliam 6-4, 6-2 in doubles play and will meet Fort Defiance's Kay Hill and Amy Wells.
Lakeland took two of three doubles matches to beat Salem in the team semifinals. The Cavaliers play Handley, which beat Marion 5-4, in today's championship.
REGION III SOFTBALL: In Rustburg, Tracy Doupnik tossed a three-hitter and struck out six as William Byrd (23-0) downed Tunstall 4-1 to advance to the title game at Rustburg at 6 p.m. Friday. Wendy Belcher went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for the Terriers as they picked up five hits.
Stephanie Brumfield went 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI for Tunstall, which finished the season at 20-1.
Katie Phillips threw a one-hitter as the Devils defeated Lord Botetourt 4-0 in the second semifinal.
Catcher Kim Callaham went 2-for-2 with an RBI and Jennifer Daniel went 1-for-1 with a sacrafice fly for Rustburg. Shabnam Giddeon went 1-for-2 for the Cavaliers (16-6).
GROUP AA BOYS' SOCCER: The semifinal match between William Byrd and Blacksburg has been moved up to 7 p.m. today on the Terriers' field.
