FOR THE RECORD

The 1994 dropout rate at William Byrd High School was wrong in a story Wednesday about seven sets of twins in the senior class. Last year, 37 students in grades nine through 12 dropped out.

An item in Monday's Extra section on garden tours incorrectly listed a 10-acre garden's location. The garden is in Boones Mill. Also, information about membership in the Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs pertained to the federation's Blue Ridge District.

Clarification

Although a Pulaski County Circuit Court jury set a 71-year prison sentence for Kevin Bradley May on Tuesday, he will not be formally sentenced on malicious wounding and breaking-and-entering convictions until a background report is prepared by a probation officer.
