CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Domestic coal production totaled 19.2 million tons during the week ending May 27, up 1 percent from the 19 million tons produced the previous week, the U.S. Department of Energy reported Monday.

The U.S. coal industry produced 19.7 million tons in the same week last year.

Golf tournament

raises $51,000

Moore's Lumber and Building Supplies said Monday its charity golf tournament raised about $51,000. The proceeds will go to the Roanoke Valley chapter of Habitat for Humanity. The tournament drew participation of more than 100 of the Roanoke-based company's manufacturers, sales representatives and others.
