Boyd, Willis; four sisters, Pearl Hylton, Mullens, W.Va., Lillian McGuigan, Midlothian, Cornelia Brame, Ruth Boyd, both of Floyd. CLARK, Thomas Key Jr., 76, of Roanoke, transitioned from this life on Tuesday June 6, 1995, while at home surrounded by the peace and love of his family and friends at Good Samaritan Hospice. He served in the U. S. Army reserves in World War II. He was president and Co-Owner of Fox-Hunt-Lloyd Mens Clothing Store in downtown Roanoke. Surviving are his wife, June Lynch Clark; his children, son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Key Clark III and Cindy, Georgia; son, James Lee Clark; daughter and son-in-law, Tina Lynn and Randall J. Scott; grandchildren; great -grandchildren; niece; nephews; and other relatives and friends. Friends and family will gather for a memorial service at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, 3 p.m. Thursday with the Dr. William Baker officiating. JOHNS, Beatrice Draper, 91, of Blacksburg, went to be with our Lord, Tuesday, June 6, 1995, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was the daughter of the late John and Jennie Lou Hunt Draper. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Janie Panell and Hilda Whitley; and a brother, Asa Draper; and a grandson, Leonard Lee Jennelle Jr. She was a member of Blacksburg Baptist Church, including membership in the Sunday School Class taught by Miss Marga ret Beeks for many years. She was originally from Roanoke and moved to Blacksburg in 1935, where she enjoyed supporting Dr. Johns in his tenure at Virginia Tech and being actively involved in the community. The grace in love, shown to family and friends, leaves a legacy that will never be forgotten. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Vernon O. Johns; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl Johns and Leonard Jennelle, all of Blacksburg; granddaughters and husband, Lisa and Mike Tilley, Roanoke, Karen Jennelle, Fairfax; great-granddaughter, Alexa Tilley, Roanoke; five nieces; one nephew. Funeral service will be held Friday, June 9, 1995, at 2 p.m. at the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don McKinney officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. JOHNSON, Thomas L., 82, of Richmond, Va., died Friday, June 2, 1995 in Richmond. Mr. Johnson was born January 27, 1913 in Roanoke, Va., the son of the late James F. and Cora Plymale Johnson and was a member of the Ingleside Country Club in Staunton, Va. Tom was the widower of the late Mary Louise Todd Johnson. He was a member of Cambridge Baptist Church of Richmond, and was employed as an electroplating engineer by the Department of the Navy and American Safety Razor. Mr. Johnson was an avid golfer and an accomplished bowler. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Laurie Johnson; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane and Bob Cagle; five grandchildren, Chris and Michael Johnson, Jason, Jaime, and Jodi Cagle, all of Richmond. Also surviving are a brother, Ed Johnson; and a sister, Carlie J. Johnson, both of Vinton. KIRBY, Gussie Edwards, 97, of Bedford, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 1995 in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born May 26, 1898 in Sparta, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Andrew J. Edwards and Betty Reeves Edwards. She was preceded in death by her husband, James William Kirby, four sisters, and two brothers. She was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Edna Mae Webb, and Armetta K. Cash, both of Bedford; two sisters, Wilma Rodgers, Aberdeen, Md., Bina Edwards Poole, Sparta, N.C.; two granddaughters; two grandsons; 5 great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters; one great-great-grandson. LAWSON, Carolyn Fitzgerald, 50, of Seaford, Va. formerly of Roanoke, died Wednesday, June 7, 1995, at her home. She was preceded in death by her father, Howard B. Fitzgerald Jr., a brother, Howard B. Fitzgerald, III. Carolyn was in the first Graduating Class of Northside High School in 1963 and was a college graduate of Old Dominion in 1969. She fought a valiant 18 year battle with rheumatoid arthritis. Survivors include her husband, John C. Lawson Sr., Seaford, Va.; son, John C.
