NAVY PETTY OFFICER 3RD CLASS BENJAMIN E. SMITH of Daleville recently graduated from a technician mechanical course at Navy Service School Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Smith is a 1993 graduate of Lord Botetourt High School.

NAVY PETTY OFFICER 3RD CLASS TIMOTHY P. FARMER, NAVY LT. MARK F. EDDY and NAVY AIRMAN WILLIAM A. FOLEY recently returned to Norfolk after completing a six-month deployment aboard the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower. Their tour included duty in the Persian Gulf off Iraq and in the Adriatic Sea near Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Farmer, son of Paul E. and Ruby L. Farmer of Salem, is a 1990 graduate of Salem High School.

Eddy, son of Lee B. and Nancy R. Eddy of Roanoke, is a 1977 graduate of Cave Spring High School.

Foley, son of Stanley B. and Darlene R. Foley of Troutville, is a 1990 graduate of Lord Botetourt High School.

SEAMAN JASON T. MORRIS, son of Larry S. and Carol G. Mattox of Vinton, has completed Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

He is a 1989 graduate of William Byrd High School and a 1993 graduate of Radford University.

AIRMAN WILLIAM K. WARREN III, son of William K. and Nancy A. Warren of Roanoke, has completed basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

He is a 1991 graduate of Cave Spring High School.

SEAMAN RECRUIT LESTER T. BISHOP, son of Larry E. and Laura T. Bishop of Buchanan, has completed Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

He is a 1993 graduate of James River High School.
