The intensive day of readings, discussion and critiques is open to writers of poetry and fiction who are selected by workshop leaders Ann Goethe and Michael Chitwood. Writers must submit their manuscripts by June 30.
Goethe is a Blacksburg novelist and playwright whose most recent work, the libretto for composer Victoria Bond's ``Travels,'' premiered last month in Roanoke.
Chitwood, a native of Rocky Mount, has poems published in more than 25 journals. He also has published two collections, ``Salt Works'' (1992) and ``Whet'' (1995).
Applicants should submit manuscripts of five poems or 5-15 pages of prose fiction with a self addressed stamped envelope to Reynolds Homestead, Route 1, Box 190, Critz Va. 24082.
There is a $45 workshop fee, payable upon acceptance.
