AROUND NEW RIVER

RADFORD - The McKenzies, with Woodie and Marcia, will perform a free concert Tuesday, June 20 at Bisset Park. The concert is being offered by the Radford Park and Recreation Department and will start at 7 p.m.

The music group performs a variety of styles, including traditional and contemporary folk, swing, jazz standards, ragtime, children's songs, novelty and original work.

The event is open to the public. In case of rain, the concert will be at Shelter No. 2 at the park. For more information, call Mary Jane Harmon at 731-3634.

GED information

DUBLIN - Information sessions about the GED, Adult High School and External Diploma Program will be Tuesday, June 20, at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the Free Memorial Library.

The External Diploma Program is a new program for residents of Pulaski, Giles and Floyd Counties that allows people 25 years or older to earn a high school diploma for job skills or those from raising a family.
