FATHER'S DAY BEGINS AT THE GRILL

A cookout could be just the thing to get Dad fired up on his special day Sunday. The meal could run the gamut from basic steak and potatoes to fancier fare. Even dads who don't eat meat could find something to their liking on a platter of vegetables imparted with the special flavor that only grilling gives. While you're at it, grill up some fresh fruit, such as pineapple, bananas or crisp pears for a great lightweight, low-cal side dish or dessert option.

Round out the meal with some of Dad's favorite sides - maybe cole slaw, green and cream-based salads, baked beans or grilled corn on the cob. Then, top it with a Necktie Cake that looks hard to make, but is knot.
