JO ANN JEFFERS of Roanoke was inducted into Avon's "Circle of Excellence" during a recognition banquet in Barcelona, Spain.

The "Circle of Excellence" honorees qualified for the trip either by being in the top 10 percent of district sales managers in their sales region or exceeding a predetermined targeted sales goal.

DR. ROBERT G. COLLINS was recently elected to fellowship in the American Academy of Pediatrics.

To qualify as a fellow of the academy, a pediatrician must be certified as a fully qualified specialist in the field of child health.

DONALD R. BLEVINS of Roanoke Cooperative has received the Southern Sates Cooperative's Manager of Operating Excellence Award.

CHARLES COULTER and ALAN KINDLER, members of the Home Builders Association of Virginia, recently graduated from the National Association of Home Builders' Graduate Builders Institute program.

Coulter, who is with Coulter Construction Inc., is a member of the Roanoke association, and Kindler, who is with Alan Kindler Inc. is a member of the Blue Ridge association.

LIZ ERWIN of Roanoke has recently joined Salem Counseling Associates. She is a registered nurse and licensed professional counselor.

ROBERTSON MARKETING GROUP of Salem recently was recognized by the Promotional Products Association International for winning the 1994 Golden Pyramid Award. The award is presented for the effective use of promotional products in business and institutional marketing.

JOAN DORSEY, a speech and language pathologist, recently retired from Roanoke Valley Speech and Hearing Center in Roanoke. She worked at the center for 34 years and founded the Speech-Language Pathologists' Network.

VIC HACKLEY formerly of Roanoke recently was named to the board of directors of Southern National Bank in Raleigh, N.C. He is president of the North Carolina Community College System in Raleigh.

KATHLEEN MARIE KRONAU has been named as associate counsel or the Law Division of Shenandoah Life Insurance Co.
