CAR CRASH KILLS BEDFORD MAN

A Bedford man died early Thursday in a car wreck on Virginia 122 after he failed to maintain control of his vehicle on a curve.

Samuel Eugene Ramsey, 30, was driving north toward Virginia 821 shortly before 1 a.m. when he lost control of the car while trying to complete a curve to the right.

The car ran off the left side of the road and into a yard, where it slid sideways and hit a parked vehicle. The police said Ramsey died at the scene.
