NEW RIVER NIPS POST 3 SOUTH

New River Valley Post 68 tallied for five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to edge Roanoke Post 3 South 7-6 on Sunday in an American Legion baseball game in Blacksburg.

Chris Hutchison had a triple and Travis White and Patrick Martin added doubles for New River (2-2), which took advantage of two errors in the big inning. Michael Elder and Stephen Burtis had doubles for South (0-1).
