MULLINS WINS FCS FEATURE

Jimmy Mullins led the final 77 laps to win the 100-lap feature of the Nelson Pontiac/B-99.9 300 on Saturday night at Franklin County Speedway.

Mullins, who started third, gained the lead when pole-sitter Dudley Lawhorne was involved in an accident on lap 23.

On lap 76, Steve Lynch spun out and created a five-car wreck involving Phillip VanDerVeer, John Hall, Kenny Wagner and Carl Dadian.

Wagner remained in the race and wound up second. Lawhorne was third, Lynch fourth and Jeff Young was fifth.

In the Street Stock division, Mike Elkins won for the seventh time this season. Mike Dudley was second, followed by Freddie Goff, Wayne Corpew and Steve Hurley.

Chris Martin won for the seventh time in the Mini Stock division. He was followed in order by Travis Sharpe, Wayne Roach Jr., Rick Janney and Curtis Ellwanger.

Greg Foster posted his first win of the season in the Pure Stock division. He was followed by Red Hartman, Jay Peery, Tommy Dooley and Kelly Kingery.

In the Rookies, Steve Dalton won for the second time, followed by Kevin Smith, Bobby Davis, David Duncan and Harland Dalton.

Chris Hatchett won the Trucks division, and Jimmy Floyd won the Any Car race.
