Williams Supply Inc., a Roanoke electrical distributor, said it has received ISO 9002 certification, a quality assurance benchmark from the International Standards Organization. Williams Supply is the first independent wholesale electrical distributor in Virginia and one of about 25 in the U.S. to receive the citation.

Tay-Jee Software, a Lexington producer of computer software, said it has released two screen-saver products designed for the Florida Department of Transportation that are intended to promote that state's newly opened high occupancy vehicle lanes on Interstate 95. The screen savers include an annimated sequence showing a car being lifted by a magic carpet out of traffic and into a clear HOV lane.

Martin Bros. Contractors Inc. of Roanoke has received contracts to build a new Montvale Elementary School in Bedford and additions and renovations to the existing Blacksburg Library. The contracts are valued at $6 million.

Anderson & Associates, a Blacksburg engineering, surveying and planning firm, has opened its fourth office in Gray, Tenn, in the Tri-Cities area. The firm also has offices in Richmond and Greensboro, N.C.
