AYERS, Lindsay Coleman, 69, of Lexington, VA. died Sunday, June 18, 1995 in the Stonewall Jackson Hospital. Mr.. Ayers was born October 1, 1925 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Calvin Ayers and Annie Golden Ayers. He was a member of the Rapps Mill Church. Surviving are three brothers, Buford Ayers, Nelvin Ayers, James Ayers, all of Lexington; two sisters, Geraldine Dudley, Roanoke, Maxine Thompson, Churchville. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday June 21, 1995, at the Rapps Mill Church with the Rev. Barton Hellmuth officiating. Burial will follow in Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington, Va.

BOWMAN, Ezra Stonewall, Rev., 94, of Rt. 1, Callaway, died Monday, June 19, 1995 in a Roanoke hospital. He was born September 10, 1900 and was an Orchardist and retired Minister of the Church of The Brethren in Franklin County and surrounding Counties. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline King Bowman and is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Shirley B. and Clark Jamison Jr.; grandchildren, Jena and Trey Jamison; one brother and sister-in-law, Earnest P. and Grace Holt Bowman; and many nieces and nephews throughout the United States. Funeral services will be conducted from Monte Vista Church of The Brethren, 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Robert Jones and Rev. J. Willard Bowman officiating. Interment will follow in Monte Vista Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday with the family receiving friends from 7 to 9 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 342 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.

BRAY, Annie Keaton, (``Ann''), 76, of Casselberry, Fla., formerly of Roanoke, passed away Monday, June 19, 1995, in the R. J. Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Stuart, Va. Mrs. Bray was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Charlie Clifford Bray. She was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and the Four Square Church. She was a charter member of Grandin Court Baptist Church, Roanoke. Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Harold C. and Marlene Gallion Bray, Lake Mary, Fla., David G. Bray, Casselberry, Fla., Glenn G. and Judy Miller Bray, Casselberry, Fla.; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara B. and Duane C. Lenart, V inton, Sylvia Ann Bray, Roanoke, Julia B. and Charles A. Sartin, Orlando, Fla.; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Sarah K. and Gordon Dillon, Boones Mill, Gay K. Plunkett, Hardy; a brother, Henry Lee Keaton, Roanoke; two sisters-in-law, Edna B. Joyce, Martinsville, Bessie Bray, Mt. Airy, N.C.;12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. CALDWELL, Margaret R., 82, of Roanoke, formerly of Falling Rock, W.Va., died Saturday, June 17, 1995, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke after a long illness. She was a retired accountant for the Fairfax County National Bank, Fairfax and was born in Christiansburg. She was a Presbyterian. Surviving are four sons, Jim, Rhode Island, Robert ''Butch"", Spokane, Washington, Joe, Fredericksburg, John ""Jack"", Roanoke; two daughters, Barbara Caldwell Craft, Sissonville, and Patricia Caldwell Parry, Alexandria; two sisters, Helen Urzell and Thelma Saterfield, both of Pennsgrove, N.J.; 18 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, 1995 at Matics Funeral Home, Clendenin with the Rev. Kyle Kee officiating. Burial will be in the Amma Cemetery, Amma, W. Va. CATRON, Sally Isabell Smith, 80, of Wytheville, the Berea Community, died Sunday, June 18, 1995. She was born May 12, 1915, in Nebraska, the daughter of the late James W. and Lottie Mae Greson Smith. She was an active member of Berea Christian Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Early ``Jaybird"" Catron. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Dorothy Catron of Rural Retreat, Curtis Dwigh t ``C.D."" and Deloria Catron of Hillsville; six daughters and sons-in-law, Patsye and John Henry Irvin of Great Falls, Norma and Douglas Grubb of Falls Church, Ruby and Donald Blankenship of Fairfax, Betty and Grover Spraker of Crockett, Fleta and Reginald Irvin of Wytheville, Vickie and Nathan Lokos of Manassas; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Izella Smith of Wytheville; one sister and brother-in-law, Maye and Wilson Hughes of Portsmouth; four sisters-in-law, Hallie Mae Miller of Crockett, Clara Catron, Hallie Catron, Venolia Marsh all of Wytheville; 19 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, 1995, at The Berea Christian Church with the Rev. Robert Peterson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. DUNMAN, Robert Leonard, 74, of Roanoke, died Sunday, June 18, 1995, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Salem. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and was retired from the Kroger Company. Surviving are his wife, Linda Moses Dunman; sister and brother-in-law, Mary F. and Garland C. HALE, Linda F. Motley, 50, of Goodview, died Sunday, June 18, 1995, at her home. She was a former employee of Roanoke Fashions, where she later retired. Surviving are her husband and best friend, Woodrow W. (Skip) Hale; one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas W. and Patricia Hale of Vinton; one daughter and son-in-law, Carol S. and Nick Petersen of Goodview; mother, Nellie B. HARTMAN, Evelyn Waldron, 87, of Roanoke, passed away Sunday, June 18, 1995. She was a lifetime member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church at Montvale and was the widow of Lester Clifton Hartman. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Allie W. and Mary Franklin Waldron. Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Lillian Jones, Mrs. Lura McGeorge both of Roanoke, Mrs. Eunice Atkinson of Bedford and Mrs. Ruby Nichols of Villiamont; two brothers, Sherman Waldron and Jack Waldron both of Montvale; also a number of neices and nephews. Funeral services will be at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. William T. Vest officiating. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton. HOLMAN, William E., 90, of Marion, died Sunday, June 18, 1995, at his home in Marion. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Seatz Holman, Marion; three daughters, Mary Huffman, Rock Island, Ill., Katherine Creek, Temple City, Calif. and Barbara Adams, Pflugerville, Texas; two sons, Gene Holman, Tampa, Fla. and Jimmy Holman, Marion; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 21, at 2 p.m. at Falling Water Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Boyette and the Rev. Eugene Seatz officiating. Burial will follow in Attoway Cemetery. HUGHSON, Mary E., (``Van""), of Roanoke, died Monday, June 19, 1995, at a Wytheville nursing home. She was a member of Melrose United Methodist Church and the Telephone Pioneers. She was a retired employee of C & P Telephone Company and a member of the Eastern Star Electra Chapter #33 O.E.S. She was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Stanley. Surviving are a sister, Velma S. Barton of Roanoke; nephew, Fred L. Stanley and wife, Elizabeth of Wytheville; great-nephew, Mark Stanley and wife, Cathryn of Wytheville; great-niece, Ann Stanley Agerton and husband, Stephen of Hendersonville, Kent.; great-great-nephew, Bradley Stephen Agerton of Hendersonville, Kent. KANE, Mary Vivian Barry, of Roanoke, she was born February 5, 1911 in Bluefield W.Va. and a long time resident of Friendship Manor, died peacefully on Sunday, June 18, 1995. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Jacob Barry, sister of the late Eunice Barry Wigmore and Jean Barry Burch. She was the wife of the late John Thomas Kane. She is survived by two daughters, Jean Barry Kane Stogo, Nancy Dunlea Kane O'Neil; four grandchildren, Mark Scott, Gregory Lee Stogo, Patrick Kane, and Kerry Anne O'Neil. May she rest in God's peace.
