OAK GROVE CHURCH OF THE BRETHREN, 2138 McVitty Road, S.W., welcomes the public to a puppet show Monday, 7:30 p.m. Mark V. Herr, minister of education and youth from Ephrata Church of the Brethren in Pennsylvania will present the show. Call 774-0595 or 774-3217 for more information.

EVELYN CONNER, a contemporary and Southern gospel soloist, will perform a concert Sunday,, 6 p.m., at Bethel Baptist Church, 1601 Colorado St., Salem. The show will include music, comedy and drama.

COLONIAL PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH is offering a 10 a.m. worship and Sunday school for children ages 4 through second grade during the summer months. The church is located at Poplar Drive and Colonial Avenue.

THE WESLEYAN CHOIR OF ST. PAUL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH will perform Sunday, 3 p.m. at the church, 502 Gilmer Ave. N.W. Earle Wodliff Jr. is the director and organist; Anita Wilson is the guest pianist.

VIRGINIA BAPTIST NURSING FELLOWSHIP will meet tonight, 7:30 p.m., in the parlor of First Baptist Church. Kim Eckenroth, vice president of care services, and Sara Brown, social worker, bereavement services, Gentle Shepherd Hospice, will speak on integration of faith in the workplace. VINTON BAPTIST CHURCH's SonTown Family Celebration Vacation Bible School begins Monday and runs through June 30. Classes will be held daily 9 a.m.-noon.
