CHRISTIANSBURG - Straight Street, a Christian-oriented group for teens, will celebrate its fourth anniversary Friday, July 21, with games, contests and music.
The celebration will be be in the Christianburg High School gym and auditorium, 5-7 p.m., for a $1 donation.
At 7:30 p.m. national recording artists David and the Giants will perform. A $5 donation is suggested and refreshments will be available.
David and the Giants will perform Thursday, July 20 at Straight Street at 7 p.m., for $5.
Organizers have room for 150 people and are taking reservations. Call 381-1006.
Commission member sought
CHRISTIANSBURG - The Montgomery County Human Services Commission is accepting applications to fill an unexpired term which ends June 30, 1996.
Applicants must be registered voters and in good tax standing.
The commission is group of human service agencies and interested citizens who share information and support human service groups. The commission meets on the fourth Thursday in September, December, February, and May at 9:30 a.m. in the Christiansburg Presbyterian Church.

Museum heritage day
CHRISTIANSBURG - Heritage day at the Montgomery Museum is July 1 and will feature entertainment, an auction, crafts and a walking tour.
