Sharp shot a three-round total of 212 to finish four under par and in a three-way tie for first. He then birdied the par-four first hole to beat Ron Kirkpatrick and Jason Todd in a sudden death playoff.
Sharp, who picked up $2,500, will continue to play on the Powerbilt Tour until October, when he will attend the PGA Tour Qualifying School.
In other golfing news, the Virginia Golf Coaches Association named Sharp to its all-state first team. It is the fourth consecutive year he has been so honored. Tech teammate Curtis Deal was selected for the all-state second team.
