CISCO, Jackson, 72, of Salem, passed away Sunday, June 25, 1995 in the Veterans Hospital in Salem. He was a retired Clerk for the U.S. Postal Service in Salem and served with the U.S. Army during WW II, having received the Silver Star and Purple Heart. Survivors include his wife, Helen Duffy Cisco; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Ann Layden Bloss and Richard Bloss of St. Louis, Mo.; step son and wife, R. W. and Darlene Burcham of Lexington, N.C.; three grandchildren, Bonnie Driver, Vickie Laws and David Layden; four great-grandchildren, Renee Driver, Sharon Driver, Christina Laws, and Cameron Wayne Laws. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, 1995 from the Lotz Salem Chapel with the Rev. W. Wayne McCauley officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial gifts may be made to your favorite charity. Friends may call after 12 p.m. Monday at the Lotz Salem Chapel.

COOPER, Matthew Alan, infant son of Scott and Ann Cooper, of Rustburg, died Friday, June 23, 1995. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Survivors include paternal grandparents, James and Carolyn Lawrence; great-grandmother, Violet Lawhorn, all of Roanoke. Woodall-Tharp Funeral Home of Lynchburg is handling arrangements.

EARLY, John Harris, 36, of Roanoke, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, June 25, 1995. He was the son of Robert and Elaine Early. Also surviving are a sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Bobby Tucker, Goodview; a brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Janet Early, Pensacola, Fla.; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Mary Early, Roanoke; three nieces, Brandy and Janet Tucker, and Stephanie Early; two nephews, Robert Tucker, and Benjamin Early. Services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel, Wednesday, June 28, 1995 at 11:30 a.m., with the Rev. William R. Harding III officiating. EASTWOOD, Betty Lou Jackson, 54, of 810 Mountain View Drive, Wytheville, died Friday, June 23, 1995 at her residence. She is survived by her husband, Raymond D. Eastwood of Wytheville; daughters and son-in-law, Kimberly Eastwood and Daniel B. Gragg of Wytheville, Kendra D. Eastwood of Wytheville; sons and daughters-in-law, John William and Melissa Eastwood of Wytheville, Robert W. and Gennette Eastwood of Wytheville; her mother, Juanita R. Dollney of Lorain, Ohio; brothers, William C. Jackson of Princeton, W.Va., Raymond Dollney Jr. of Lorain, Ohio; granddaughter, Stacy Ann Eastwood; step grandchildren, Brian Catron, Paula Catron, Tina Catron, Dustin Gragg. Funeral services will be Monday 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Grubb Funeral Home with the interment to follow in the West End Cemetery. KOTARY, Betty J., 61, of Roanoke, died Saturday, June 24, 1995. She was preceded in death by her husband Elwin T. Kotary. Surviving are two sons, James (``Sonny"") Clayton of Copper Hill and Mike Clayton of Roanoke; four daughters, Beverly Alessi of Albuquerque, N.M., Christy Clayton of Tempe, Ariz., Dawn Malott of Mesa, Ariz., Judi Popp of Castro Valley, Calif.; eight grandchildren including a very special granddaughter, Monique Clayton; one brother, Don Conner of Copper Hill; one sister, Sue Sestito of Rome, N.Y. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, 1995 at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with the Rev. Anthony C. Busic officiating. Burial will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. MONOSKI, Joseph Paul Sr., 84, of Blacksburg, died Saturday, June 24, 1995, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. He was a veteran of World War II and served with the Korean Occupation Forces after the War. Mr. Monoski retired after 22 years of service with the Air Force and also from the Army Engineers Civil Service with 20 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy M. Monoski; one son, Joseph Paul Monoski Jr., Blacksburg; two sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Monoski Barlock, Bellefonta, Pa., and Fran M. and Warren DeChant, Montour Falls, N.Y.; two sister-in-laws, Jeanne Monoski, Williamsport, Pa., and Annabelle Monoski, Erie, Pa.; two brother-in-laws and sisters, Bob and Pearl Malstrom, Bethesda, Md., and Frank and Lorraine Lestienne, Ashboro, N.C.; two nieces and four nephews. The funeral will be held Wednesday, June 28, 1995, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Farther Donal d Lemay officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. PRICE, Bobby Rudolph, 52, of Plum Creek, died Saturday, June 24, 1995 at his home. He was born June 8, 1943 to the late Tiffney J. and Areelia Jane Linkous Price. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Tracy L. and Eddie Burlingame; one son, Bobby Dean St. Clair, all of Christiansburg; two sisters, Ruby Dove of Blacksburg and Betty Woodson of St. Louis, Mo.; three brothers, James Price, Odell Price and Johnny Price, all of Blacksburg; a very special friend, Marsha St. Clair of Pulaski. WHETZEL, Elizabeth S., 66, of Roanoke, died Saturday, June 24, 1995 in a local hospital. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and a retired employee of S. H. Heironimus Co. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, John David and Sharon G. Whetzel, Roanoke; grandson, Andrew David Whetzel, Roanoke; sister and brother-in-law, Ruby and Alvin Small, Colonial Heights; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Marion Smith, Richmond; nephew, Louis Smith, Chester; and a dear friend, James S. WYANT, Clara Zimmerman, 83, of Roanoke, died Sunday, June 25, 1995. She was the widow of Walker Wyant, and was retired Roanoke Photo Finishing Company. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Ruth Z. Correll, Roanoke; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Rachel Zimmerman, Waynesboro, Mrs. Loni Zimmerman, Roanoke; two brothers-in-law, Wilson Morris, Roanoke, and William L. Murray, Troutville. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, 1995, with Pastor Joe Greene officiating.
