PILOTS for major airlines are limited to flying 1,000 hours a year, a restriction that the Federal Aviation Administration proposes extending to commuter airline pilots who are allowed to fly as many as 1,200 hours a year. An editorial Friday incorrectly stated these as monthly limits, which is, of course, impossible.
