He has returned to the Kessler Institute For Rehabilitation in West Orange.
Several television stations reported that Reeve was taken to St. Barnabas Medical Center here because his condition had worsened, but hospital spokeswoman Lisa Fuglaar refused to confirm or deny the reports.
``All I can say is that he was just brought in for routine tests,'' Fuglaar said. She also refused to say exactly what tests Reeve underwent and how long he was there. Reeve transferred to Kessler, which specializes in spinal cord injuries, on Wednesday after a month's stay at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
Reeve, 42, suffered a broken neck and spinal cord injury when he was thrown from a horse May 27 while competing in a Commonwealth Dressage and Combined Training Association competition in Culpeper County.
