The New River Valley Master Gardeners are conducting the award project.
Commercial and industrial businesses, single- and multifamily residences, institutions and parking areas are among those eligible to be nominated. Landscapes could include a front walk and entrance; an herb, flower or vegetable garden; shrubbery; a heritage tree; or a combination of landscapes.
Individuals, businesses or organizations may make nominations. All nominated landscapes must be within town limits and must be visible from the street or public walkways.
A three-judge panel will select the winners, who will be recognized at an award ceremony Sept. 14.
Nominations are available from the Planning and Engineering Department on the third floor of the Blacksburg Municipal Building, 300 S. Main St.
Forms must be returned by July 14 to the Planning and Engineering Department, P.O. Box 90003, Blacksburg 24062-90003, or by e-mail to town.plan.eng.lrbev.net.
