BARBOUR, Virginia Sink, 86, of Salem, died Tuesday, July 4, 1995. She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm T. Barbour; two sons, Malcolm D. Barbour, Donald K. Barbour. She was also retired from Yale & Towne. Surviving are three daughters, Beatrice Barbour Kingery, Salem, June Barbour Hartman, Roanoke, Edith Joyce Halverston, also of Roanoke; a son, Gordon S. Barbour, Roanoke; 24 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; five great-great- grandchildren; one brother, Harold P. Sink, Roanoke; a sister, Sally Sink Terry, Christiansburg. BOND, Irene, 76, of Rt. 1, Dugspur, died Tuesday, July 4, 1995, at Snyders Nursing Home, Salem. She was born at Floyd County, June 23, 1919, the daughter of the late Lemon Weddle and Rosa Turman Weddle. Mrs. Bond was a charter member of the Calvary Bible Church. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and Harvey Flanagan, Danville, Rose and Connie Huff, Salem; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Sue Bond, Pulaski; eight grandchildren, Chris Bond, Kevin Bond, David Huff, Randy Flanagan, Keith Bond, Danny Huff, Patti Toler, Dawn Wiesner; six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 7, 1995, at Calvary Bible Church with the Rev. J. Alfred Pinkerton officiating. Interment will be in Cox Cemetery. BOROJEVIC, Marjana, 17, of Blacksburg, our beautiful joy, departed from us to be with the saints in Heaven, Sunday, July 2, 1995, eight days after her seventeenth birthday. She achieved many things in her short life, but most of all she touched so many other people and filled them with joy, happiness and exaltation for life. She will keep living in our hearts. Those who hold her dearest in their hearts: Her everlasting Love, Mama, Tata, and brother Misha, grandparents, aunt, and uncle. The funeral service was held at Blacksburg Christian Fellowship, 2300 North Main St., Blacksburg on Wednesday, July 5, 1995. CONNER, Isaac Wyatt, of Meadows of Dan, passed away at his home, on Tuesday, July 4, 1995. He was a merchant of Conner's Grocery for many years. Mr. Conner was long-time member of Green Mountain Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Edna Belcher Conner, Meadows of Dan; daughter, Arna L. Conner, Meadows of Dan; son, J. B. Belcher, Meadows of Dan; brother, Jabe Conner, Meadows of Dan; four grandchildren, Mrs. Joyce Hawks, Mount Airy, N.C., Mrs. Judy Haden, Woolwine, Kenny Moles, Meadows of Dan, and Vicky Belcher, Meadows of Dan; four great-grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; eight stepgreat-great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. DEACON, Ada Arthur, 94, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, July 5, 1995 in Community Hospital. She graduated from Westhampton College and was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. She was a teacher in the Roanoke City school system for many years and helpe d start many church libraries including the Grandin Court Baptist Library which is named for her. Through the years, she directed and produced many church dramas and pageants, was very active in the YWA, the WMU. A WMU Circle at Grandin Court Baptist Church is named for her. She taught Sunday school for many years and was president of the WMU at Belmont Baptist Church. She was a charter member of the Grandin Court Baptist Church and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Gideons International. She is survived by her husband of almost 66 years, Glenwood Deacon; two daughters, Ada Lee Holton and Nella Glen Williams and her husband G. W. Williams all of Roanoke; grandchildren, David Williams and wife Lisa of Richmond, Paul Williams and wife Annette of Roanoke, Philip Williams of Roanoke, Mrs. Rose Shields and husband Barry of Danville, Andy Holton of Dustin, Fla., Kenny Holton and wife Donna of Danville, Robert Holton of Hollywood, Calif.; also six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Grandin Court Baptist Church 1 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Philip E. Motley and the Rev. Robert M. Hamner officiating. Interment will follow in Fair View Cemetery. LERCH, T. David, Jr., 27, of Richmond, died Tuesday, July 4, 1995. He was the beloved husband of Mary Parish Lerch; son-in-law of George and Jimmie Parish, Radford; son of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Lerch, Raleigh, N.C. Mr. Lerch was an honor graduate of the University of Virginia. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity, a nationally ranked tennis player and played tennis for UVa. He was an assistant vice president with Scott and Stringfellow, Inc. in Richmond. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, July 8, in the park at Park and North Meadow Streets, Richmond, at 11 a.m.

LOVELL, Hazel B. 91, of Roanoke, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 1995. She was the widow of Isaac Richard Lovell and was a member of the Daughters of The American Revolution. Surviving are her daughter, Linda L. Bell, Va. Beach; son, Richard Eugene Lovell, Preston, Md.; six grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; sister, Marjorie Dickson, Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted 7 p.m. Thursday at Oakey's North Chapel by the Rev. Ottis Burgher. The family will receive friends following the service at Oakey's North Chapel.

MILLER, Martha Ann, 50, of 107 Lake Street, Pulaski, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 4, 1995, in the Pulaski Community Hospital. Born February 4, 1945 in Wytheville, she was the daughter of the late Albert Frederick Miller and Fern Emily Ellen Sheets Miller. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Benny R. Miller. She is survived by her husband, George Daniel Spangler Jr.; two sons, Winston Gregory, St. Albans, W.Va., Howard Gregory, Teays Valley, W.Va.; one daughter, Donna Lynn Thumm, Lafayette; her father, William Earl Graham, Bluefield, Va.; her mother, Lottie N. Graham, Havre-de-Grace, Md.; a brother, Ronnie E. Graham, Bristol, Va.; a sister, Linda Walincki, Prince Henry Co., Va.; three stepdaughters, Linda Leedy, Christiansburg, Judy Spangler, Jeanie Alls both of Shawsville; four grandchildren, Heather, Whitney, Angela and Daniel; three stepgrandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. STEGER, Mary Stewart, 69, of Roanoke, died Sunday, July 2, 1995. She was the daughter of Stewart Archer Steger and Grace Mooney Steger. She was born March 27, 1926, in Shreveport, La., and was a graduate of Centenary College in Shreveport. She later moved to Virginia, living in Pulaski before coming to Roanoke. She is survived by a brother, Bill Steger of San Diego, Calif. A memorial service will be held 12 noon Friday, July 7, 1995 at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel with Fr. Peter Tram and Rev. Thomas P. O'Dell officiating.

VEAL, Norma Estelle, of San Diego, Calif., died Sunday, January 22, 1995, in San Diego, Calif., widow of the late Frank M. Veal, and daughter of James Monroe and Sarah Ann (Nee Thornton) Sink. The last survivor of three sisters, Alma McGhee, Bessie Young and Emma Munsey; and two brothers, Cephas and Denver F. Sink. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Among the nieces and nephews were Lillian EstellMunsey Smith of Roanoke and F. Rufus Munsey of Baltimore, Md. At 89, born in Southwest Virginia, she was a long-time resident of California. Services were rendered by Park Crest Mortuary.

WINGATE, John David, 49, of Catawba, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 1995, at a local hospital. He was a real estate appraiser, owner of Wingate & Co., Inc., member of West Salem Baptist Church and Encouragers Sunday School Class. Born May 30, 1946, in Grayson County, Va., he was a son of the late Roy and Callie Mae Wingate. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Fay H. Wingate; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Todd Dillard; his beloved granddaughter and ``best buddy,"" Brandy Dillard; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Millie Wingate, Catawba, Joe and Jean Wingate, Salem; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, July 7, 1995, at Oakey's in Salem with the Rev. Mike Slaughter officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
