PEOPLE

The Rev. Tom Magri, known affectionately to his parishioners at St. Jude Catholic Church in Radford as "Father Tom" during his 12-year tenure, has left the church to become a campus minister at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg. His replacement is the Rev. Jim Grealish, who came on board in June. Grealish, 50, was pastor at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wytheville and St. Edward's Catholic Church in Pulaski from 1983 to 1994, before taking a year sabbatical. He has also been pastor at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Bristol. Originally from Galway, Ireland, Grealish has served throughout Virginia since being ordained in 1969.

\ Clarification: An announcement last week that the Rev. Gene Anderson, a retired Episcopal clergyman from New York, would become interim rector of Grace Episcopal Church in Radford was premature because of incorrect information given to a reporter. Anderson's appointment is subject to approval by the congregation's governing board, the vestry.
