BOURNE, Sarah Frances, 100, of Wytheville, died Thursday, July 6, 1995, in the Wythe Co. Community Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, B. Mason Bourne. She is survived by her daughters and a son-in-law, Scottie and J.C. Kegley, Mrs. F.K. ""Ethel"" Sumner, Mrs. R.A. ""Dottie"" Lacy; son, B.M. Bourne Jr., all of Wytheville; daughter-in-law, Mrs. H.G. ""Byrd"" Bourne, of Wytheville; six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 at the Wytheville Presbyterian Church, conducted by Dr. Michael Wingard and Dr. Thomas Sproule. Interment will follow in the East End Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Gillm an Funeral Chapel, or at the residences of her daughters, Dottie Lacy, 825 West Fulton Street or Scottie Kegley, 1450 West Reservoir, at any time. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Wytheville Presbyterian Church Building Fund or the American Cancer Society. Gillman Funeral Chapel, Wytheville, is in charge of the arrangements.

BRAMLETT, Rubin, 71, of Montvale, passed away Friday, July 7, 1995 in a Roanoke hospital. He was born in Bedford County on January 20,1994, a son of the late Willie Bramlett and Melinda Rader Bramlett. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and was employed by the Department of Transportation. He is survived by his wife, Effie Creasy Bramlett; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rubin Wayne and Faye Bramlett, Thaxton, and Norris Elroy and Diane Bramlett, Vinton; a sister, Lois B. Higgins, Roanoke; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, July 9, 1995 at 2 p.m. from Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford, by Dr. William Vest and the Rev. Michael Winters, with interment in the Bramlett Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

CAMPBELL, Loyal Wilson, 76, of Buena Vista, died Thursday, July 6, 1995 at his residence. Born September 21, 1918 in Nelson County, the son of the late Aubrey D. and Flora Bryant Campbell. He was retired from the U. S. Forest Service and a member of the Mount Paran Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, having served in World War II. He is survived by two sisters, Aletha C. Conner of Newport News and Helen C. Breedlove of Buena Vista. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, July 10, 1995 at the Mount Paran Baptist Church Cemetery, Montebello, with Dr. Paul Fink officiating. GARBETT, Helen Huffman, 78, of Salem, died Thursday, July 6, 1995. A native of Salem, she was the widow of Vernon H. Garbett and daughter of the late William H. and Lila Spangler Huffman. Mrs. Garbett was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Della Bradley Sunday School Class. She was past president and member of both the Salem Woman's Club and the Salem Historical Society. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Constance G. and Thomas G. Sixbey, Roanoke; son and daughter-in-law, Mr. R. ``Buck"" and Barbara S. Garbett, Richmond; sister, Beulah Hodges, Salem; brother, Richard Huffman, Waterbury, Conn.; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monda y, July 10, 1995, in John M. Oakey & Son, Salem, Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 3 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. GIESER, Mary Frances Cline, 70, of Salem, died Friday, July 7, 1995, at her home after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry L. Gieser. She is survived by her daughter, Marie G. Bell; grandchildren, Jay R. Bell Jr., Jeffery R. Bell; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Iris G. and E. Glenn Sink, Wyome G. and D. Jack Howell, Nellie G. Orander; two nieces; three great-nephews, all of Roanoke. Graveside service will be held Monday at noon at Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton with the Rev. Richard Brown officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Lotz Salem Chapel. HAMBLIN, Hazel Louise, 74, of Christiansburg, went to be with the Lord Thursday night, July 6, 1995. She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Ray Hamblin and is survived by her loving husband, Willie B. Hamblin Sr; sons and daughters-in-law, John A. and Sylvia Hamblin, Willie B. Hamblin Jr., Ronnie and Shirley Hamblin, all of Christiansburg; daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Wayne Wickline, Donna and J.D. Duncan, all of Christiansburg, Kay and David Terry of Gallatin, Tenn.; eighteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; two half sisters, Claude Eanes, Helen Dillard, both of Elliston; one half brother, Walter Kingrea of Boones Mill; several nieces, nephews and special friends. The funeral will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Cambria Pentecostal Holiness Church, conducted by the Rev. Jerry Shepherd with burial in the Belmont Cemetery. HENSON, Robert Woodrow 54, of Baltimore, Md. died Thursday, July 6, 1995. He was the son of Effie Gilbert Henson, Buena Vista and the late Lonnie Henson. He is survived by his wife, Margaret A. Goolsby Henson; children, Jeffrey Henson and Tracey Testerman, both of Baltimore, Md.; two brothers, Louis Henson and Russell Claude Henson, both of Buena Vista, Va.; five sisters, Christine Bowman, Lucille Hodgekiss, Louise Newcomer, all of Lexington, Gertrude Carter, Buena Vista, and Elsie Smith, Roxboro, N.C.; two grandchildren and one stepgrandson. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 10, at Lomax Funeral Chapel, with Dr. Chip Pendleton officiating. Interment will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. LEVEL, James Robert, 87, of Pearisburg, died Friday, July 7, 1995 in Giles Memorial Hospital following a long illness. Mr. Level was a member of the Pearisburg Presbyterian Church for over 60 years and and a past Elder of the Church. He worked for a number of years for the Va. Dept. of Highways. In 1940 he joined the Celanese Corp. and retired in 1972 with 32 years of service. Mr. Level was born in Monroe County, W. Va. on August 21, 1907 and was a son of the late George Wallace Level and Margaret Pinkney Boone Level. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Garland Adair Level and George Creed Level. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Jessie Smith Level; two sons and their spouses, Dan and Peggy Level, Pearisburg, Bobby and Sandra Level, Baker, La.; two daughters and their spouses, Judy and Paul Stafford, Pearisburg, Jean and Jerry Radford, Richmond; one brother, William H. Level, Organ Cave, W. Va.; one sister, Geraldine Eddy, Pearisburg; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 9, 1995 at 3 p.m. in the Pearisburg Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Alan Harvey officiating. Interment in Birchlawn Burial park, Pearisburg, Va. POFF, Elizabeth Ann, of Bluefield, W. Va., formerly of Roanoke, died Friday, July 7, 1995. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Bluefield, W. Va. She was a graduate of Beaver High School, Bluefield, W. Va., graduate of Bluefield Business College in 1942, graduate of Roanoke Hospital School of Nursing in 1945 and retired as a Registered Nurse at Lewis-Gale Hospital, Salem. She is survived by her son, Ivan Thomas (Tommy) Poff Jr., Boones Mill; and brother, Harold Kenneth Neece, Schertz, Texas. A graveside funeral service will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday, July 9, 1995 in the Restvale Cemetery in Floyd County. The family receive friends at Oakey's South Chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. RICH, Dorothy Hearn, 75, of Marion, died Thursday, July 6, 1995, in Smyth County Community Hospital. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church; the widow of Stuart B. Rich and was an employee for the Piggly Wiggly in Marion for many years. Surviving are one son, Stuart B. Rich Jr., Richmond; one sister, Mrs. Orena H. Rich, Rural Retreat; one brother, Atville L. Hearn, Marion; two grandchildren, Eric Scott Rich, Richmond, Dawn Marie Rich, Richmond; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday, 2 p.m. in Barnett's Funeral Chapel with Dr. J. N. Howard officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Rural Retreat. RICHARDSON, David N. 78, of Salem, died Thursday, July 6, 1995 at his home. He was retired from the V. A. Medical Center in Salem and was a World War II Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Louise Gunter Richardson; two sons and daughter-in-law, Larry David and Sharon Richardson, Michael Wayne Richardson and fiancee, Debbie Chierchia, all of Salem; one granddaughter, Kimberly Hurd and husband, Bobby, Roanoke; grandson, Ryan Richardson, Salem; brother-in-law and wife, Lama and Dot Gunter, Roanoke; two special sisters-in-law, Dot and Eudora Richardson; and a number of nieces and nephews; friends and neighbors. SMITH, Dorothy Sarver, 84, of Catawba, died Thursday, July 6, 1995 in a Roanoke nursing home. She is survived by a brother, Lemuel Sarver, Catawba; sister and brother-in-law, Lucille and Luther Taylor, Catawba; sister, Pearl Crawford, New Castle; three stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Leona and Tommy Hairston, Bernice and George Clements, Mary and L. D. Lipscomb; one stepson and daughter-in-law, Warren and Linda Smith; 14 stepgrandchildren; a number of stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Smith was a member of New Hope Church, where her funeral will be on Sunday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. R. C. Wagner officiating. Interment will be in Sarver Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday evening at Boitnott Funeral Home.

SMITH, Nona Martin, 91, of Radford, died Wednesday, July 5, 1995. She was born in Brandon, Miss. and moved to Radford in 1930. She was a graduate of Mississippi State Women's College in Starksville, Miss. and later earned a Master of Science in Education from VPI & SU. She had been a Lay-Reader and Chalicist at Grace Episcopal Church, a member of the vestry and of the ECW. For many years she taught in the Montgomery County and Radford City School Systems. She was active in the RHO Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa, the Radford Womans' Club, the Radford Gard en Club and served on the Radford Beautification Commission. She was a driving force in establishing the Radford Senior Center. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia S. Woodward of Brevard, N.C. and two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Richard H. Smith Jr. and Mary of Bridgewater, Va. and Thomas M. Smith and Norma of Blacksburg, Va.; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church in Radford on Monday, July 10 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Claude McCauley officiating. The family will greet friends in the Parish Hall following the service and there will be a private burial. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the Grace Memorial Garden of Grace Episcopal Church or the charity of one's choice.

VEST, Orie McClellan Sr., (``Sam""), 84, of Lexington, died Friday, July 7, 1995 at his home. Mr. Vest was born January 20, 1911, in Rockbridge County, a son of the late John Henry Vest and Henrietta Muterspaw Vest. He was a member of the Advent Christian Church. Surviving are his wife, Virginia E. Vest; daughter, Mrs. Madeline V. Chittum, Lexington; son, Orie (Sam) Vest Jr., Natural Bridge; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 9, at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. George H. Warden Jr. officiating.
