SARAH ARMBRISTER BEAMER of Wytheville has been named chief financial officer and treasurer of Emory & Henry College. Beamer was named to the position following the retirement of ELOISE ELLIS, former treasurer of the college. Beamer most recently was corporate audit manager for the Virginia Tech Foundation. Before that, she was employed as a certified public accountant for KPMG Peat Marwick in Roanoke.

GRAHAM GARRETT MACKEY has become associated with Legg Mason Wood Walker's Bedford office as an investment executive.
MANUFACTURING
MICHAEL TESORO has joined KelTech Inc., an electronic contract manufacturer in Roanoke, as vice president of operations. He previously was manufacturing manager of KBS Inc., an electronics contract manufacturer in Florida. Before that, he was director of operations for Valcom Inc., a Roanoke-based telecommunication manufacturer.

ROBERT G. LEE of WDBJ-TV and MICHAEL J. SLENSKI of WROV-AM/FM radio stations in Roanoke have been elected regional directors for 1995-96 of the Virginia Association of Broadcasters.
MATT PAXTON IV, publisher of The News-Gazette in Lexington, has been elected secretary of the Virginia Press Association. JENAY TATE, editor of The Coalfield Progress in Norton, and HELEN BURNETT, circulation manager of The Roanoke Times, are new directors of the association. RAY ROBINSON, publisher of the Salem Newspaper Group, is serving a second term on the board.
