Vacation Bible School at New Hope Church of God in Christiansburg is scheduled for Monday through Friday, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. each night.
Central United Methodist Church in Radford will have Vacation Bible School Sunday through Thursday, 6:30 to 8:30 each day. The theme is "Seaside with the Savior." Cynthia A. Jennison, a member of Christiansburg Presbyterian Church and a second-year student at Louisville Seminary in Louisville, Kent., has received the E. L. Bell Memorial Prize for academic excellence. She is married to Rick Obenshain, whose parents are Ray and Kitty Obenshain of Christiansburg, and whose grandmother is Elsie Garland, also of Christiansburg. In Christiansburg, Jennison has been a Brownie Girl Scout leader, a parent volunteer at Christiansburg Elementary and Primary Schools, SHARE advisory committee member, a Hospice volunteer, and a member of Coalition for Community.
