ALLEN TO VISIT ROANOKE, NEW RIVER

Gov. George Allen brings his traveling entourage to the Roanoke and New River valleys next week with stops in Roanoke, Blacksburg and Wytheville.

The visits are to occur during the second half of the governor's two-week tour of the commonwealth in a recreational vehicle.

The chief executive is to stop in Roanoke on Wednesday at 10 a.m. for a tourism-related visit, then move on to Blacksburg by 1:45 p.m. The site and nature of his visit to Virginia Tech country are to be announced later. Then Allen heads to Wytheville for a 4 p.m. news conference.
