DUBLIN AWAITS PLANT

An Ohio manufacturer next week will announce the purchase of a Dublin plant that could bring up to 50 jobs to Pulaski County.

The New River Valley Economic Development Alliance said Friday that Mar-Bal Inc. is to announce its purchase of the former Flow Labs property in Dublin.

Mar-Bal makes insulating materials that are sold to industries in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Jim Balogh, the company president, and Carolyn Balogh, the vice president, are expected to say their 25-year-old firm will open its third plant in Dublin.

Mar-Bal's headquarters, design and manufacturing operation is in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Its second manufacturing plant is in Cuba, Mo. The New River Valley plant is projected to employ 50 workers within two years. Currently, the company employs 180 people.

The alliance, a regional marketing organization; the Pulaski County Board of Supervisors; and the county Industrial Development Authority helped the Baloghs in their search for a new plant.
