When 8-year-old Jonathon Edwards' 21-month-old half-sister began choking on a piece from a plastic Power Ranger toy, he jumped into action.
Jonathon was sitting outside in a swing last weekend when he heard his half-sister Brittany begin choking. ``She was coughing and was blue and purple in the face and trying to get something out of her throat. I wasn't scared, because I knew what was wrong.''
The boy looked into the toddler's mouth, saw the bit of plastic lodged in her throat, and reached in and pulled it out.
``Brittany went back to playing right away,'' he said.
``It scared me to death, I thank God he was there,'' said Anna Edwards, the children's grandmother, who was watching them.
