NATHAN WESTLEY CARROLL and ANTHONY SOUTHERS have received scholarships from the David Roller Memorial Scholarship Fund, which is administered by the Roanoke Educational Assistance Foundation.

BRIAN KELLY MORGAN of Roanoke, was named to the dean's list at Clemson University in Clemson, S.C., for the spring 1995 semester.
NICOLE D. KASEY, daughter of Darlene R. Kasey and James W. Kasey of Roanoke, received a master's of social work from Howard University. Kasey is a 1988 graduate of William Fleming High School.
HUE LINH TRAN, daughter of Vi Ba and Thi Rot Tran of Roanoke, recently graduated from Davidson College in North Carolina. Tran is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School.
KEITH EDWARD SPICER, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Spicer Jr., graduated from High Point University in North Carolina.
JAMES MADISON UNIVERSITY has selected the following Roanoke-area students as participants in its high technology summer camp: Joshua Glenn Martin of Fincastle, Erika Cramer of Troutville and John Edward Patterson of Fincastle.
MICHELLE HENLEY, daughter of Bonnie and Al Henley of Salem, was among five University of Florida public relation majors who presented a case study to the executive board of Girls Inc. in Princeton, N.J.
Henley earned a bachelor of science degree in public relations from the University of Florida and is pursuing a master's degree.
JOI BRANDON PARKER, daughter of Norma Price of Roanoke, was awarded a bachelor of arts degree in biology from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio.
APPALACHIAN POWER COMPANY has announced the 1995 Roanoke-area graduates who were recipients of its scholarship: Bhavik D. Patel, Lord Botetourt High School; J. Lindsey Mattox, County High School; Gregory B. Bundick Jr., William Fleming High School; Trina Lee Bouseman, the Noel C. Taylor Learning Center; and Jochen Dunville, Salem High School.
JEFFREY KELLY SHELTON, son of Mr. and Mrs. David M. Shelton Jr. of Roanoke County, has been named to the spring semester dean's list at Virginia Commonwealth University.
He is a 1994 graduate of Cave Spring High School.
DONALD RAY BRUBAKER, son of Dr. and Mrs. Herman W. Brubaker of Roanoke, recently earned a master of divinity degree from Regent University.
He also was awarded the outstanding Master of Divinity Graduate Award and was named to Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
EMILY COLLIER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Collier of Salem, will attend the Govenor's School for the Gifted in visual and performing arts this summer at the University of Richmond.
She is one of 25 students attending chosen from about 125 applicants statewide.
Collier also placed second in girl's prose at the Blue Ridge District Forensic Meet and has been in numerous productions at Salem High School. She also won the Outstanding Acting Award at the Blue Ridge District One-Act Play Festival.
Alternates for governor's schools from Salem High School are: Waid Powell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul A. Powell, in visual art; and James Rankin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Rankin, to attend the mentorship program at NASA in Virginia Beach.
JASON DALE O'BRIEN, son of Jerry and Rita O'Brien of Roanoke, recently earned a master's degree in psychology and an educational specialist degree in community agency counseling from James Madison University.
He is a resident counselor with Total Life Counseling of Roanoke, where he will complete requirements to be a licensed professional counselor.
He is a Cave Spring High School graduate.
HEATHER LEE O'BRIEN, daughter of Jerry and Rita O'Brien, recently earned a bachelor of science degree in child development and family relations from East Carolina University.
She also has earned a full-tuition scholarship and teaching assistantship at Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Ill., where she will begin graduate school in the fall.
She is a graduate of Cave Spring High School.
