I-81 SINKHOLE REPAIRS REQUIRE DRIVERS' CAUTION

The Virginia Department of Transportation has closed a portion of the southbound passing lane of Interstate 81 in Rockbridge County.

The lane is closed beginning just north of Exit 180 to repair a sinkhole located near mile marker 181.

Officials aren't sure how long the work will take. Motorists are advised to use extreme caution.
